Jakarta is about to take Singapore as role model in handling traffic and developing city. Years ago, Singapore also had similar problem with Jakarta, but it solved already.

" We can see Singapore if we want to built city. They have much experience ," said Jakarta Governor Basuki Tjahaja Purnama, after meeting with Singapore Commerce and Industry Minister, Teo Ser Luck at Jakarta City Hall, Tuesday (11/25).

One of the solved problem in Singapore is water management. "The government gives solution for citizen who affected by government project by raising the floor building coefficient (KLB). It ease the citizen to give their land to the government," Basuki added.

The same method will be also applied here in Jakarta, especially for area passed by rail mass transport.

"You can have high building if the area is passed by mass rapid transit. We want to learn much from Singapore," he continued.

The meeting was done to discuss about Jakarta and Singapore cooperation in industry, transportation, and other development projects.

"We could provide joint industry area, reclamation, goods train, waste water management, and so on," Basuki enclosed.
